When looking at using a Decanter centrifuge for a separation application there are a couple key factors to consider during selection. The first consideration is the desired phase to be either the solids or the liquid. If it is the solids, do you need a dry dewatered solids or a concentrated/thickened solids. If the desired phase is the liquid and a high level of recovered solids/clean centrate must be achieved this will dictate increased pond depths in the Decanter centrifuge. These key considerations (solids or liquids) will dictate the usage of hardfacing wear protection, conveyor/scroll designs, bowl designs (angle, length & diameter), gearbox, control and backdrive requirements. If you have a application and would like to discuss your requirement, please feel free to contact me.
